Use Ryzen Controller and in power set VRM current a little lower also set the thermal limit to 100c (personally be safe i have it on my laptop and it's fine). you want to underclock it so to stop thermal throttling. Use afterburner and see your laptops CPU and GPU temps if in 85c/90c no point overclocking it. Also Ryzens CPUs like to have duel channel more than intel. You want the GPU in the chip to have access to 128bit memory. Will say 64bit for single channel or 128bit for duel channel. To check download GPUZ and check your laptops memory bit. In some cases can get over TWICE the performance in games. If you want to make the laptop run better in games if not got it you need 2 ram sticks in the laptop upgrade your ram to dual channel as most laptop makers only put one stick of ram in it. in short its got it's graphics on the CPU. Then you can simply back it down again to the point where it was still stable. Just don't do too much at a time and go up in small steps until it either thermal throttles or gets unstable. VRAM doesn't matter too much in overclocking but seeing that you only have two gigs you might lose some performance anyway. If you overclock, I'd suggest going for the GPU first since that's most likely the weakest part. If it does get too hot, the laptop will turn off before there can be any physical damage to the cpu or the GPU. It might also get unstable but as long as it's unstable in games but in idle it's still stable you can revert it. It would thermal throttle at worst if you go too high.
